So if it turns out I have testicular cancer, will I lose my balls?

The doctor says:
One of them, yes, it's likely. The initial treatment involves surgery - it's called an orchidectomy - to remove the affected testicle. Even if you catch it early, surgery is the first line of treatment.

After surgery, the normal course of treatment depends on the type of testicular cancer and the extent of the disease. It may consist of strict observation, a short course of radiotherapy and possibly a course of chemotherapy.
