About this interview
GERRY: A very prestigious thing like, to be a member of, and actually winning that prize, whatever it may be, whether you were first or last, oh they were cockahoop, the whole family used to come down, and I mean the whole family. Even tots in pushchairs and the whole family came down to see what the prize was what they'd won. Of course that side went out a little bit when they changed over to cash (Jeff: and once the lamp had gone) But you had your broth nights on and all that. Oh a real occasion, this was a three-day event.
