Some of the greatest directors of the 20th Century share the secrets of their craft.

Arena is the gold standard for arts documentaries, from 1975 to the present day with a vast archive of interviews with the world's greatest artists. BBC Archive has selected some of the best clips from the many great directors that have appeared on the programme.
