1975: The woman who spent her retirement literally moving house
Nationwide went to meet 64-year-old May Savidge who literally moved house during her retirement when her home in Hertfordshire was transported brick by brick 100 miles to Norfolk. The building was dismantled and brought to its new location five years previously from its original site to make way for a new roundabout. May talked about why she wanted to save her 500 year old Elizabethan Hall and how she had gained the skills needed for her mammoth project.
