James Robbins reports from South Africa on a bomb attack in Benoni, a town just outside Johannesburg. The attack - on a fast-food restaurant - is the latest in a series of escalating acts of violence in the country that have led to heightened fear and anger among white communities.

Violent attacks were carried out in 'white areas' to destabilise the government. Anti-apartheid resistance groups, including the ANC, trained South Africans to fight against their own government in neighbouring countries such as Zimbabwe, Angola and Botswana.
