Miners' Strike: John Moyle was the Kent Area NUM president and now runs the Betteshanger Social Welfare Scheme.

John talks about his involvement with the Betteshanger Social Welfare Scheme, which was originally born out of the mining industry. After Betteshanger was abandoned by the employers, John continued with the running of the scheme. He explains the future plans for the scheme, offering local communities sporting facilities, allotments and places to live for the disabled and elderly people.
