A History of the World: This iron nail was used in a barn built in Warwickshire in 1820 by soldiers returning from the Napoleonic wars.

This is an example of one of the first manufactured iron nails. Linda came across the nail when she re-used some beams from an old barn which burnt down. The barn was built in 1820 by soldiers returning from the Napoleonic wars. This nail was made at a time of change in nail manufacturing in Britain.
