Garry stands at the end of his garden and listens to the din of the traffic driving by on the other side of his fence. The cars and lorries pass all day, and the lorries carry on into the night. He isn't a particularly environmentally motivated person but he strongly believes building the proposed Newbury by-pass, just half a mile away, will ruin the town he lives in and loves.
