RETURNEE

After living in England for 37 years, Juan has returned home to Jamaica to be closer to her elderly parents. She has lived more of her life in England than in her homeland, and she knows England better than Jamaica - it was a young country when she left. She has started going to the Returning Residents Association. It is good to talk with others who are experiencing the same feelings. But she won't be going back to England to live again. Though England afforded her a good standard of living, for which she is grateful, Jamaica is her home.
