PYRE By Ian Mackinnon It's a sad day for Ian. He's finally decided he won't eat meat pies any more - the risk's too great. It's not just for himself - he's got a family and can't afford to take chances. He's sad, though, because he enjoyed them. He burns a meat pie on a funeral pyre. His friend says they're burning cattle to restore public confidence; Ian thinks they'd do better if they burned a few agriculture ministers.
