HOOK
By Brian Dooley
Brian, a former Liverpool docker, shows a bundle of Japanese origami cranes, presented to the Liverpool dockers as a sign of solidarity during their strike. The 329 birds represent all the dockers who were sacked. They are held up with a docker's hook, a large metal tool used to lift the heavy bags and containers before automation, which was like a third hand.
