COOLING DOWN By Sandra Cummings As a mental health worker, Sandra is confronted with emotions like anger on a daily basis, but it wasn’t until she took an anger management course that she realised she had her own anger issues to deal with. She’s now learnt methods that help her stay calm in the face of situations that once stirred up strong feelings of rage and annoyance. Sandra thinks that anger is a prevalent emotion in today’s society and that more people would benefit from recognizing and addressing emotions that are often negative and destructive.
