HANDS UP FOR PEACE III By Neela Dolezalova After seeing liberated Iraqis who don't just look happy, but incredibly emotional that Saddam Hussein's regime has fallen, Neela has to remind herself that the first casualty in war is truth. She has to keep asking whether she is getting the full story and sees Bush's threats to Syria as bullying. Although it is easier in the short term to solve problems through war, Neela thinks we need a global community based on fair trade. As long as we have a world based on threats, we're not going to move forwards.

Your thoughts about this video

| Joe Oliver Well having filmed the footage and had a help in the editing, I would say that this video is the best one ever concieved. I might be biased, so you will have to decide for yourself... Gideon Jones It is very difficult sometimes to force yourself to step outside what you believe and ask yourself if, as we would so like to convince ourselves, it is of our own making. Impiracally it has been shown time and again rarely to be that way - and in the end ignorance will bind all our hands unless you've got the bravery to take those steps back. The points in this video are far from simplistic - they're crucial. I for one am glad that we have people like Neela to receive the reigns of power from the "adults" who appear to be malco-ordinated in their use... Martin Fereday It's always nice to hear the simplistic views held by children, it makes the adults realise that we cannot pass on the reigns yet. Adina Very well spoken. |
