HANDS UP FOR PEACE By Neela Dolezalova Neela shares her thoughts the night before she goes out to place lots of cut-out hands from all over the world on Parliament Square in London to protest against the war. There are reports that they may have started shooting in Basra, but nothing's certain. She's scared. She's thinking of children who aren't just worried about the war, but who are worried it might be their last night ever. In the morning, Neela's friend hopes that they'll make a difference, despite the first bombs being dropped. If you'd like to add your comments about this video, please do so below. Your thoughts about this video

| Bob A very well thought out argument. Alf Hunter Neela although your points are all valid, I still find myself unable to support the anti war cause, even though no WMD have been found. Yes lives have been lost, not just Iraqi and allied troops but civilians, but surely the price of not acting would have been thousands more civilian lives lost under the cruel dictatorship of Saddam Hussain. On balance you must now realise that the price of acting is far less than the price of not acting in terms of suffering for the Iraqi people. Keith Harrop Good video Neela. Every voice makes a difference, no voice is completely unheard. I live in California and I heard it. Frankie Roberto A very moving short which expresses the fears of the anti-war movement well. Like Neela, I hope people will sit up and listen. |
