The buyer is a large farming concern, which is destroying the traditional small fields and turning them into huge ones. She's never seen hedges and trees come down so quickly. Silas Jones Farmers are taking out hedges and trees because they get ec subs so they are not `custodians of the land` as they would like one to believe but are motivated by sheer greed. They should not receive subsidies but stand on their own two feet like the majority of the population has to do!
