EXCUSES By Richard Wolfson Richard late home from work again and Ruth's getting fed up. He offers several excuses - he missed his train - but Ruth won't buy any of it. She feels they ought to have at least one meal a week together with the children, who by now are tucked up in bed. Richard is contrite. He promises to try and get back earlier next time.
