CIVIL WAR By Mark McClean Mark watches as a DIY store goes up in flames, which he thinks is likely to have been caused by sectarian tensions. While back at home he reflects on the troubles - sometimes he wishes there was a civil war to sort it all out once and for all, but having seen the war in Yugoslavia he knows that's not the solution. The police tell him they know who the terrorists are, but they can't touch them unless they catch them red-handed - if that's the situation, then the gangsters really do rule Northern Ireland.
