CACTUS By Jean Lee For many years Jean didn't do any gardening because she never had much success. Her father had none either, probably because he was born in the year of the chicken - the two don't go together. But now she's trying to grow cactuses, which Chinese people aren't supposed to like because of the spikes - you're supoposed to have smooth, luscious plants.
