BULLOCK By Annis Tonkinson At the height of the BSE crisis Annis and Gordon have to send their bullock away to be slaughtered and burned, despite the fact that he is free of infection, as are all their cows. Annis thinks it's criminal. Gordon has been terribly depressed, as have their neighbours. There's no money coming in, there's no grass for the sheep because there's been hardly any rain - it's one worry after another.
