BRIDGE By Hamish Mitchell Hamish is standing on the Union Bridge, right at the mid-point that represents the border between Scotland and England. He holds a pamphlet on the new Scottish Parliament in his hand. In his view the shoddy maintenance on the English end of the bridge is symbolic of the lack a care the English gave Scotland when they shared a parliament. Now that Scottish MPs will be working in Scotland he believes it won't be so easy for them to forget their responsibilities.
