BABIES

Wendie's bedroom turned into a labour ward overnight. There are lots of newly-hatched spiders on the bedroom ceiling. She had been watching a grey patch on the ceiling get blacker and blacker as the mother spider prepared her cocoon. This morning, there's one dead spider on the window sill - probably the mother of the babies. What a pity she doesn't know about her many babies.
