Mr. Lock is entitled to his opinion and has the right of freedom of speech, nevertheless he does not represent the Jewish community or its opinions. I believe that President Bush is doing the right thing by going to war, hence, saving millions of lives world wide including the USA and Israel. Yes, maybe the 9/11 attacks were a wake up call but better late then never. I support the President and Prime Minister Blair in their fight against terrorism.
Moshe Schwartz
You are 100% right. Terrorism did't start yesterday, but when it touched the USA then they want to take revenge. Bush said to Israel "Hold back, don't take revenge!" Remember??
Rabbi S. Perl (USA)
A lover of Am Yisroel (the Jewish people) should not make such a statement. Mr Lock is criticizing the only friends the Jewish people have in the wide world.
Marilyn (Canada)
Of course war is bad for everyone. We who are fortunate enough to have been raised in democratic societies with relgious and/or secular backgrounds do not go to war willingly. But there comes a time when it is immoral not to go to war. And yes, it is young American and British soldiers who will do the dying, largely because the world around is too bogged down with it's anti-Americanism to recognize that the only moral course is to destroy this blight upon humanity. Hopefully this regime change will mark the start of many in that region.
Ibbar Reburg
Gabriel, if the western free world fought Adolf Hitler and his murderous regime, perhaps 6.5 million Jewish people would have been spared from the Nazi death machine. Iraq's population have to be liberated and the world has to become free of this horrific regime of fear, death and terror.
Rick Galasso
You are right Gabriel. There are many Jews in America, Israel and around the world that are against this war, and dare I say against all war. It is the few, the radical, that suck all the rest of us into war and this time we shall be heard!
Rabbi Joseph W. (USA)
Does Mr. Lock really think President Bush has nothing to do? Doesn't he have his hands full in Afghanistan? We (the free world) cannot let a tyrant run loose with weapons of mass destruction. While no one wants war it is neccessary for us to live in a better world. Mr Lock - can you take the responsibility of not going to war? I commend President Bush and Prime Minister Blair for doing what needs to be done.
