ANGER By Amjad Hussein Amjad thinks that the war in Iraq is a war against Islam. If the conflict spreads to Syria and Iran, he will go and fight. The war has created a feeling of "them", the Western countries, and "us", the Muslim community, despite the fact that he was born in Britain. Amjad doesn't even watch the news any more because it makes him so angry... If you'd like to add your comments about this video, please do so below. | Martin Fereday Prime example of how freedom of speech is only good if it's your freedom, but freedom of speech is for everyone and has to be defended by everyone. Once the people in Iraq can defend their own right to free speech then you can curse the devil America. Steven Tennant I do not see this persecution of Muslims. Amjad Hussein does not seem to be aware that 100,000 Muslims have been killed in Algeria in during the current power struggle. Furthermore, in most Muslim countries, for example Egypt and Saudi Arabia, all other religions, especially Christians, are persecuted. In any so-called Christian country, e.g. Britain and the USA, Muslims can practice their religion freely. This, even though Muslims say that the Bible is corrupt, and they deny the deity of Christ, the very bedrock of Christianity. Please, a little more objectiveness. Amar Hussain I think our Muslim brothers and sisters need to wake up and realize what is happening to all the muslims around the world - being tortured and so on. The world is coming to an end and us Muslims are not afraid to die. The ones who dont believe in our religion are scared. Thats why I believe they want to wipe us Muslims out and take control. But they dont know the power of Allah! M.R. Parent (USA) If fundamentalist Muslim terrorists would stop commiting acts of violence in Western countries, we would probably stay out of their countries. It's great that the British are sticking with us. They're not afraid to take on some of the worst fighting conditions. They are awesome, and so is Tony Blair! Elizabeth Martin I do not necessarily agree with war for any reason, but I do not think this is a war against Islam. If this is a war against Islam then what was the war between Iran and Iraq? It is partly to overthow the present or not so present ruler and perhaps other motives of an economic nature. |
