TIME TO CARE
By Kath Hillier
Kath didn't consider herself as a carer for the first seven years of caring for Brian who has been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. As with many carers - she coped as best she could and it wasn't until she was on the brink of a nervous breakdown that she received outside help. Kath now finds it useful to call herself a carer - because that's exactly what she is - it describes part of her identity at this stage in her life.
