ONE OF THEIR OWN By Mei Lai Mei is nearly 21 and has lived with her foster family for about 8 years. Her foster parents treat her as if she's one of their own but she still has regular contact with her "real" family and they all get on well. Mei gets annoyed when people feel sorry for her. She's very happy and says there are lots of good things about being fostered. She doesn't feel any different from anyone else and says it's been a good experience.
