He suffered a heart attack five years ago and after a year on the transplant list, took the brave decision to take himself off. Gwen Royle If only we could all accept our destiny with such courage and mirth! Des seems to have made peace with himself and will no doubt sing and dance into the next world. May his maker smile upon him (but not just yet!). How much better the world would be if we could all have such a positive outlook on both life and death- God Bless him!
