When Jonathan found out that forty men in his village alone were lost to the Great War, he decided to bring their memories back to life.

HAWKSHAW HEROES

Between 1914 and 1918 the mail population of many small communities were devastated. In the village of Hawkshaw alone a hundred and sixty seven men when to fight in the Great War and 40 of them died.

After ten years of research local historian Jonathan has brought the faded photographs of these men on the wall of a chapel, back to life. He's told the stories of those who died and were injured and believes that we have a duty to remember those who died.
