GUN CULTURE
By Anthony 'Romantic Juggler' Weeks
Anthony says gangster rap music is behind the rise in gun crime in inner city Manchester. As a DJ on a community radio station broadcasting to Moss Side, Hulme and Longsite he bans bad language and music which glamourises guns. He blames American rap artists for driving communities - and sometimes families - apart.

Survivour Of Manchester Ganags
Been involved in the Manchester Gang culture and have lived through it afer clashing with at least 3 different gangs. As much as music does play a small part by making the gangster role'cool', we should remember that it is the fear of consequences that make people think twice about doing the wrong thing. In Manchester young boys see no consequences for there actions. And when there are consequences, the goals or thrills often outweight them.

The guy is right, it's as simple as that.

Violence solved the problem of oppresion in America and this bad idea of violence died out. Sadly, I feel we have to wait for people to realise this before our world can change for the better. There will always be a struggle between classes, it's the idolisation of these modern gangster rappers that is the problem.
