WATCH THIS SPACE By Jimmy Tam As a young boy Jimmy used to watch TV and wonder why there wasn't anybody that resembled him. He hopes that China's elevation on the international scene will have a positive impact on young British Chinese and how they view themselves and their role within society. Having just finished a broadcast journalism course he has entered an industry which doesn't have a large representation from the Chinese community. Working at the BBC Jimmy feels that he is one of just a few British Chinese to choose Journalism as a career and one day he would like to be a role model for a younger generation of British Chinese.
