OLYMPIC DELIVERY BY BARGE
By Paul Rainer
Paul is a warehouse manager with a building materials firm. He’s hoping the regeneration of London canals will make the transportation of products to the Olympic site possible by barge. His company is very close to Ridham Dock in Kent, where the barges could take the materials through the Thames and onto the canals, straight into the site at Stratford. The firm has already executed a dry run and is developing a waterway strategy for the long term. For Paul and the company helping deliver a more environmentally friendly Olympics is an exciting challenge.
