SLEEPING GIANT
By Kwaku Ampomah
'If you know your history, you know where you're coming from' say's Kwaku. He always knew his history as an African who came here from Ghana at age 6, but it has been a long process to really understand his identity as an African living in Britain. In his work engaging Refugee and Asylum seekers with the museum service of Leicester he's helping newcomers understand their history as well as discovering more about the ancient roots of Leicester.

Jonathan Tuke
I'm sure you are right, and it will hopefully happen soon. History as I was taught at school (a few years ago)ignored anything which wasn't white, and concentrated on what was British. I am white and British, but I can sympathise with your anger.

alot of bitterness is heard in this mans voice.WHITE PEOPLE want to change the world too
