GUIDE DOGS
By Eric Day
Eric has just had a wonderful afternoon out with his guide dog. He was stopped by a group of mums and their kids, asking about the training of a guide dog. One little girl wondered how he learns to read. Eric explained that through the training, the dog gets to understand where he needs to go. And it's not easy having a guide dog - he has to be groomed every day. The children couldn't quite believe that Eric brushes the dog's teeth - yes, with real toothpaste, like you would yourself!

Your thoughts about this video

Sam Wilson
I like this video very much. I want to work for the dogs for the blind.

Bronwen Forster
I thought this clip was lovely, explaining to many of us that don't know much about guide dogs for the blind. It was really nice to see how much the dog is essential to his owner, and how they help each other. A man's best friend!
