I thought it was quite surreal and very interesting & amusing :) i saw nothing there to cause anyone to get their knickers all in a twist over.
It's just a bit of entertaining fun, after all, innit :D

Nick - no hard feelings. Have you ever tried drunk e-mailing? I've gotten into all kinds of trouble doing that before... Sara - well, thank you. It's nice to be appreciated! Fat Flo - I do have a web site and I have CDs you can purchase from there, should you be interested... Rock 'n' Random was my last "release". Goto polemicmusic

I was just kidding. There was indeed no basis to my so-called 'point' and yes, your video was a great bit of fun. In fact, QED and, perhaps more importantly, ditto. (I forgot I'd submitted the original 'thought'... hehe), I just stumbled across it again now. Great vid' ED. No hard feelings.? Are we still friends.? You can get a round in friday night. Your old buddy; 'Nick Berghaus' (hehe).
Fat Flo
Hey Dick, where can I hear your music. I'm intrested in random composition as well. I play all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order. Love to her your stuff. Flo
Sara
Very Cute

Actually Nick, having read your comments a second time, I'm not really sure what you're trying to say. You start attacking me and then start attacking "they". You come across as paranoid, postmodern and a victim of trend-mongering. Dialectics and totality RULE!
Evil Dick
Nick...relax...it’s just a commercial. Do you really think my PhD thesis concerns the sonic properties of a duck whistle under a bridge, or that I've copied "Silence" out, word for word? Since you’re not even acquainted with my music, I find your comments naive, amusing, and irrelevant. The lines about the apparent lack of dialectical framework and “Mickey Mouse academia” are utterly baseless; your only source of reference is a two-minute Video Nation (which I don’t edit) of me blowing whistles under a bridge. It doesn’t take a genius to realise this is a bit of fun, not a philosophical work to shake the implications of music making for the next millennia.

This guy is simply surfin contempory conceptualism. Without the framework of dialectics that fuel the so-called 'approach' of Evildick, there is little for him to talk about. They plagarise the ideas of others to generate flatulence. Nothing more. Yet another example of Mickey Mouse academia. My God, people died in wars to defend the right to indulge this...
Evil Dick
Yes. But composing with randomness is completely possible.
Septimus Bland
Isn't random composition an oxymoron?
