FIFTY

Margaret is fifty this year. She finds it a reflective age - you could be halfway through your life, or more than halfway through. You have to slow down and find a quiet time to enjoy the moment. Time has an elastic quality - the good things fly by at the speed of light, and the boring things stretch out interminably. However, the things that are important, such as love and companionship, stay with you. Where has all that time gone? She still doesn't know what she wants to do when she grows up...
