LUNCHTIME
By Graeme Higgins
It's lunchtime in the Higgins household - Sally chooses what she wants to have and tells Graeme about the morning she's had at Nursery.

Absolutely precious - when sally reaches for her daddy's face and rubs it twice, it shows a very close bond between father and daughter. Very nice to see.

This was a lovely episode in the life of Graeme and his daughter. Graeme showed patience and the ability to go at Sally's pace. This was in both his offering her the food and in his conversation. As a piece of advice I would suggest that Graeme makes the decision about what Sally is going to eat and then offers her the choice in that range i.e. "It's spaghetti for lunch, do you want tweenies or animal hoops?" In my experience this is a good model for all stages of development and leaves little room for ambiguity, especially in teenage years.
