School has more than one function, it is also a source of sociolisation. This child obviously has a lack of support from either home or from the school itself. Laura does share points that are of some significance however she does view things through young naive eyes. Peers will obviously agree with her that school is pointless. Although it is manditory Laura is free to leave at the end of her GCSE's. If Laura wants to progress onto her A levels she will have to proceed with her GCSE's.

I totally agree with everything you said. If GCSE's are getting easiler than why is it that neither my mum or dad have any idea what im talking about when I ask them for help with trigonomitry, history of medicine or chemical reactions to name just a few? I wonder if the priminister would be able to explain the laws of electrostatics to me?

I totally agree with everything you said in that video....polititians and whoever should give people taking GCSEs a break every year when they say they are becoming easier and easier... they are so not easy!
