Mum:
They’re here.
Baby:
Hold up, where are you off, eh?
Oh, who’s this then? He’s like me, but bigger. Oh, have a seat, why don’t you? Make yourself comfortable.
Mum:
‘Row your boat, gently down the stream…’
Baby:
Hold up, that’s my song. He’s singing my song with my mum.
Mum:
‘… merrily, merrily, life is but a dream.’
Baby:
What’s going on here? This is outrageous, absolutely ruddy outrageous. Well, I may as well just start thinking about packing my bag, eh?
Hold tight. Is that… for me? Okay. I can see what you’re doing here, you’re not gonna be able to bribe me with food but… But oh! Oh, this is really good!
These are, these are really tasty. Oh, so cheesy. Wow! These are amazing. You guys just keep on chatting, I don’t really care. This kid’s feeding me this and er, oh… these are really good! Oh!
Mum's friend:
Yeah, high-five to us. High-five to us!
Baby:
Hey!
Wow! That’s pretty cool. I wonder if this kid can learn me how to do that.
Mum's friend:
Say bye bye to Woody. Bye bye!
Baby:
This kid is awesome.
Bye.
No! Don’t go! You’re doing high-fives and feeding me these incredible snacks. You’re amazing.
Mum has organised a play date. The baby's unsure at first, but he soon makes a new friend!
There's all sorts he can learn from older friends and siblings, as he finds out.
