Living with extended family, like your parents or the in-laws, when you’ve got a young kid can sometimes be really hard. But to be fair, at times they’re probably not finding it a bed of roses either. Having them around though can be great, like when you need a little break or a change of scene. So when they offer advice or have different ideas on how to look after your baby, just talk and explain what’s important to you. The sooner you talk it out, the easier it will be. The one thing though, what will never be easy is who gets control of the remote…
Older generations sometimes have slightly different opinions when it comes to parenting.
It's important to listen to them, but also explain your decisions and what's important to you.
