Babies are geared up to imitate everything!
They copy all the actions they see and all the sounds they hear, way before they can actually talk.
When baby makes a sound, copy it!
Wait for them to make another, and copy that babble too!
Keep really looking at them, give them time to respond, and keep using lots of facial expressions - they'll copy those too!
They'll be learning what they sound like!
They'll also be learning to take turns.
Think of it as their first conversation.
Before babies can have proper conversations, they get into practice by copying those around them.
