Gavin Mead is third-generation railway and he's something of an oracle on everything to do with Castleton Moor and the Esk Valley Line. Castleton Moor is set within the pretty hills of the Esk Valley, and as a former industrial village it relied on its railway links to stay working. Gavin Mead is third-generation 'railway', and here he offers his wealth of information on the history of the village and it's links with the steam and diesel era.
