Jack agrees to sell Daisy for five magic beans…but what will his mother say?
5. Beans for the birds!
Jack decides that he can trust the old man and so he agrees to sell Daisy for the five magic beans. The old man then gives Jack a new pair of red shoes to replace the worn out ones he is wearing.
Jack sets off for home again…sure that his mother will be pleased with his actions. But when Jack gets home his Ma is annoyed. She tells Jack that he has been tricked by the old man. Then she takes the beans and throws them into the garden, telling Jack they are fit for nothing but the birds.
