PRESENTER: Listen carefully to these four animals.
FX: DOG 1
PRESENTER: A dog.
FX: HORSE 1
PRESENTER: A horse.
FX: PIG 1
PRESENTER: A pig.
FX: SHEEP 1
PRESENTER: A sheep! Now listen again. Which animal is missing this time?
FX: DOG 1 / HORSE / SHEEP 2
CHILDREN: It’s the pig! / The pig is missing!
PRESENTER: Listen carefully again. Here are four different ways of travelling…
FX: HELICOPTER
PRESENTER: A helicopter.
FX: BOAT
PRESENTER: A boat.
FX: PLANE
PRESENTER: An aeroplane.
FX: BUS
PRESENTER: And a bus! Now listen again. Which one is missing this time?
FX: HELICOPTER / PLANE / BUS
CHILDREN: I didn’t hear the boat! / So the boat is missing!
PRESENTER: Listen carefully again. Here are four different types of weather…
FX: THUNDER AND LIGHTNING
PRESENTER: Thunder and lightning.
FX: RAIN
PRESENTER: Rain.
FX: SUNNY DAY
PRESENTER: Sunshine.
FX: FOOTSTEPS IN SNOW
PRESENTER: And snow! Now listen to the different types of weather together. One of them is missing. Can you say which one?
FX: THUNDER AND LIGHTNING / RAIN / SUNNY DAY
CHILDREN: I think the snow is missing! Brrrrr.

CHILDREN: First you crack open the egg…
FX: EGG CRACKED ON SIDE OF FRY PAN
CHILDREN: Then you cook the egg in a pan.
FX: COOKING/ SIZZLING SOUNDS
CHILDREN: Then you eat it – yum yum!

PRESENTER: Listen again. These three sounds are also in the wrong order. Can you say what the right order is?
FX: WATER DOWN PLUGHOLE
FX: CHILDREN SPLASHING IN BATH
FX: BATH FILLED WITH WATER
CHILDREN: First you fill the bath with water.
FX: BATH FILLED WITH WATER
CHILDREN: Then you play in the bath. Splash! Splash!

CHILDREN: Then you let the water out! Glug! Glug!

PRESENTER: Now we’re going to have a game of ‘sound snap’! Listen carefully to these animal sounds. When you hear the same animal sound twice in a row, be ready to call out ‘snap’. Here we go:
FX: SHEEP / DOG / CAT / PIG / HORSE / HORSE
PRESENTER: It was a horse – we heard a horse twice in a row. Let’s try that again. When you hear the same animal sound twice in a row, be ready to call out ‘snap!’

PRESENTER: It was a lion – we heard a lion twice in a row. Let’s try that once more. When you hear the same animal sound twice in a row, be ready to call out ‘snap!’

PRESENTER: It was a dog – we heard a dog twice in a row. Now listen to these animal sounds very carefully. Can you say which sounds make a pair because they belong together?

CHILDREN: The dog panting…goes with the dog barking. SNAP! And the cat saying miaow…goes with the cat purring. SNAP!

FX: ALARM CLOCK / CUCKOO CLOCK / BIG BEN
PRESENTER: How many different clock sounds did you hear? Listen again.
FX: REPEAT WITH CHILDREN COUNTING
PRESENTER: An alarm clock…a cuckoo clock…and a big clock – like Big Ben. There were three different clock sounds. So many different sounds around!
