A Very Important Lesson by Aaron B.
Once upon a time, there was a girl called Samie Thimble who was once at school when something unbelievably stupid happened. Her class teacher told them to draw a picture of a Fruit on a piece of paper. Samie decided to draw a Pineapple and her friend Bob drew a bunch of grapes. So when their time was up, the class sidled up to the teacher's desk and showed her their pictures. So Bob showed the teacher his drawing, which looked nothing like a bunch of grapes, and then it was Samie's turn. The teacher took one look at her drawing then said "We're not having that in this classroom. Straight to the head teacher !" So Samie went off to the head teacher's office. After about a minute, the head teacher came in and said "Why is there a little girl in my office?" "All I did was draw a picture of a Pineapple!" wailed Samie."Look!" The head took one look at her drawing and said "We're not having that in this school. You're going home!" So Samie was in her parents' car going home when her dad asked "Why did we get a call telling us to come ?" "All I did was draw a picture of a Pineapple!" wailed Samie."Look!" Her parents took one look at her drawing and said " We're not having that in this car. We're taking you to the police!" So Samie was in the waiting area of the police station when a policeman walked in with a crook and said "Why is there a wee lady in the waiting room?" " All I did was draw a picture of a Pineapple!" wailed Samie. "Look!"
The policeman took one look at her drawing and said "We're not having that in this station. You're going to court!" So Samie was sent to court and all the town attended. When she was there the judge said " Orda', orda' in da cour'. Why be dere a youn' ladi' in da spo' o' da acused?" "All I did was draw a picture of a Pineapple!" wailed Samie. " Look!" The judge took one look at her drawing and said " I ain' 'avin dat in dis 'own. Ye 'an go 'oo 'rison!" So Samie was sent to prison for 20 years and all the time she was in prison she still had the picture of the Pineapple in her back pocket. 20 years later when Samie was let out of prison the first thing she wanted to do was to go to a coffee shop because grown-ups live off caffeine. But across the road from the coffee shop Samie saw that her parents were sitting inside it. Samie was so happy to see them that she got out her picture of her Pineapple and ran out onto the road towards the coffee shop. Then she was squashed by a coach. The moral of this story is DON'T CROSS THE ROAD WITHOUT LOOKING FIRST.
