The Alien and the Purple Planet by Henry B.

My name is Zee. I live on the planet Violet and I am very, very lonely. I have been lonely for a very long time. I was born not long after the beginning of time many, many light years away.

My planet is purple, the air is purple, the rocks are purple and the water under the ground is purple but it does taste delicious.

No one else lives on my planet so I have no real friends. My friends are Zig, Zog, and Jimmy Bob they are purple rocks with eyes that I have drawn on with a purple pen. They can't speak as they are my imaginary friends. Did I tell you I was lonely?

My hearty burns with loneliness. Sometimes it feels like it is floating in mid-air and then it falls and falls as far away as Saturn until I cant take it any more and then it explodes into tiny pieces and I just burst into tears.

I can't play tag, I can't play football or even eye spy because my friends are just rocks. When I'm really lonely I talk to them but to be honest they are not very interesting because they can't talk back.

Most days I spend looking through my telescope at other planets. The universe is magnificent and so big and full of amazing wonder. I have seen many planets come and go. One of my favourite planets to watch is probably Earth. Earth is covered in lush green forests, beautiful mountains dusted in white, big amber deserts, the deepest of blue oceans and towering multi-coloured cities. Most excitingly it is full of Beings. Down there I would never be lonely.

But sadly, over the years all I see is that the blue water is getting bigger and bigger and the land smaller and smaller. There are millions of people on earth but they are littering way too much and the black dirty waters are rising and the Beings are disappearing. The planet is dying. They must be so scared.

So I have decided to write a note. An invitation to the Beings. I want them to come and stay with me so I wont be lonely anymore and I can share my planet. I have 5 rules.

I got some bright purple rock and wrote the words across the stars so that every single person on Earth could see it.

"Come and live on my planet, make it colourful and happy and fill it full of friendship"

Then I sat back and waited. Do you think they will come?
