The Adventures of Piccalilli Ninja Dog

Once there was a pickle ninja dog called Piccalilli, a green and black pickled gherkin with bumpy bits like a pickle.

She was relaxing in her pickle armchair when "crunch" - oh, did I not tell you, that's her doorbell! All she could see was a face! It was Miss Munchkin, local nosey parker. Miss Munchkin mumbled " oh sorry darling, I just need to deliver this stuff for you". "Oh, thank you" replied Piccalilli. "Now I'd better nib off," said Miss Munchkin.

Piccalilli opened the packages, one filled with air, another had a piece of paper! "There is nothing on this paper, is someone trying to trick me." Then she remembered the turmeric trick to uncover secret messages: you write in bicarbonate of soda solution on paper, then let it dry, paint over it with turmeric and rubbing alcohol, and it will reveal your message! It said… I have something you love hidden in my glove. "Cheese and pickle sandwiches!" she sighed, "I'm going to have to follow this riddle."

Once she checked no one was looking, Piccalilli ripped off her disguise, and was no longer her usual self … she was Sally Ninja! Sally bolted to her lab and went straight for her fan, which was a travel machine! She activated it and traveled to Glove Island, eventually reaching Spook Town in the center of the island! You can probably guess why she didn't want to go there. Suddenly with a boom-screech Piccalilli's friend Loony arrived. "Come on hurry up" "What's the hurry about?" Asked Piccalilli. "I saw Evil Devilina!" "What!" Piccalilli gasped. "Wait a second, where is she?" "Nobody knows, we just know she's on the naughty track again." Loony drove Piccalilli to Mount Glove, without realising that was where Evil Devilina made her plans!

When Piccalilli arrived at Glove Mountain she was in for a big surprise! She saw her Aunt Heebeejeebee in a cage with a bottle of poison next to her! Heebeejeebee looked very dehydrated and poorly. Piccalilli knew she had to do something! Before she could ask Heebeejeebee if she was ok, she heard the croaky voice of Evil Devilina, "I'm here and I want to sing you a song. Here it is … 'You're not allowed to escape, even under a cape'. " Piccalilli snuck under a cape towards the chamber door and ran beneath the cage. She lassoed her trusty star-scarf, which caught the cage door. The door flew open, Heebeejeebee leapt out and zipped down the star scarf. This shocked Evil Devilina and Sour Ninja as they both thought Heebeejeebee was done for. Sour Ninja jumped into action with her bag of tickle arms and Evil Devilina fell to the floor laughing like a hyena. Sally grabbed her aunt and made a quick get-away.

Once Piccalilli arrived home with Heebeejeebee she removed her disguise and sat down for a well-deserved lemonade, joined by her famished and exhausted aunt, and they enjoyed a nice pickle sandwich.
