The Friendly Giant by Alice A.
Once upon a time, there was a little village with colorful houses and lots of flowers. It was a happy place, but the people in the village were a bit scared of strangers. They always thought that strangers were mean and would cause trouble.
One sunny day, while I was playing with my dolly in my garden, we saw something huge coming towards the village. It was so big, and its footsteps were like thunder. Everyone started to panic and run to their houses.
I hugged my dolly tight and peeked from behind a bush. The giant came closer and closer. His feet were as big as my house! I thought, "Oh no, this giant is going to squish our village!" I was so scared, and so were all the people.
But then, something amazing happened. The giant gently knelt down and smiled. His smile was as big as the rainbow, and it made me feel warm inside. He spoke in a deep, rumbling voice, "Don't be scared, little friends. I'm not here to hurt anyone. I heard about your beautiful village, and I wanted to visit."
The villagers were still afraid, but they listened to the giant. He told us his name was Grumble, and he was a friendly giant who loved flowers and animals. He showed us the flowers he had brought from his faraway home, and they were the most beautiful flowers we had ever seen. Grumble had a magic touch, and when he planted those flowers, they grew bigger and more colorful than ever before.
Soon, our village was covered in beautiful flowers, and it looked like a magical garden. The villagers started to realise that Grumble was not mean at all. He was kind and gentle, just like a big teddy bear.
Grumble didn't stop there. He helped us fix our houses, build a playground, and even made a big rainbow slide that reached up to the clouds. We all cheered and laughed as we slid down the rainbow.
But Grumble's kindness didn't stop with flowers and playgrounds. He taught us about sharing and caring for each other. We started to help each other more and became even better friends.
One day, a storm came, and it looked like it would destroy our village. Grumble used his enormous hands to shield us from the wind and rain. He kept us safe and warm, just like a big umbrella.
As the years went by, our village became the happiest and most beautiful place in the world, all because of Grumble the giant. We no longer judged strangers and realised that sometimes, they could be the kindest and most wonderful people.
One sunny morning, Grumble said he had to go back to his home, but he promised to visit us again someday. We all waved goodbye, tears in our eyes, and thanked him for making our village so amazing.
And so, our little village learned that kindness and friendship could come from the most unexpected places.
