Eye Week with Nick Pandolfi

Nick Pandolfi and CSV are running an eye special during the week starting Monday 19 March.

At some time at our lives we will develop the need to visit an Optometrist. So on Monday 19 March at 9:40 am we will be speaking to one to find out what sort of problems they can detect. Learn who wants your old specs!

We should all have our eyes checked every two years and Nick will be having his first eye test since leaving school in 19??!.

On Tuesday at 10 am we will be discussing colour blindness. I was very surprised to learn that one in 12 men can have some form colour recognition difficulties or problem and one in 200 women. We will also be talking to the author of Colour Blindness – Causes and Effects Donald McIntyre.

If you are into alternative treatments then on Wednesday at 9.40 am we will be chatting to Amanda Mansell - a qualified nurse, midwife and iridologist.

Thursday at 9:40 am we will be chatting to eye consultant Mr Kerry Jordan from the West Suffolk hospital about cataracts. We will find out how they develop and how the operation is performed.

To end the week on Friday we will find out what glasses shapes are best for which shape of face. It is always difficult to choose between fashion, colour and frames to get the right look for you. So we will chat with a local dispensing optician to help guide us through the selections available.

CSV Suffolk Action have prepared a fact sheet on the eye that you can get by phoning 01473 340740. You can also call this number to find out how you can get an eye test near you for just £5! (limited period).
