The action desk is part of the national charity Community Service Volunteers. The Action Desk's motto is "helping you to help yourself to enhance your quality of life."
We receive over 10,000 calls a year covering many subjects and problems that you need help with. We have covered an enormous number of appeals and raised awareness of charities, support groups, play schemes, organisations, learning and volunteering opportunities and health & social issues. ![]() Nick Pandolfi at the Funeral Fair This includes helping Bildestone repair its burnt out Scallywags nursery, building a playground at Landseer Park in Ipswich, collecting pencil cases for a school in Gambia and helping find lost cats and dogs. We also held a funeral fayre to give advice on planning for your own death! The Action Desk won a BBC Local Radio Gillard Award in 2003 for its work at The Hollies - the training centre for people at St.Clements Hospital in Ipswich. ![]() Suffolk Action at work in Ipswich No subject is too difficult to handle - give us a call if we can help you or you feel you may be able to become a Suffolk Action volunteer yourself.
