There are numerous hiking trails and mountain bike trails to choose from—for the full package, hiking along the 37km Avalanche, Culture Plein Air in the St-Adolphe D’howard area features scenic lookouts, a pedestrian trail and for the adventurous, mountain biking; for the wild and free, elevate your nature experience with horseback riding in the Val-des-Lacs area with Kanatha Aki. They also offer wood bison observation, wilderness survival, snowshoeing expedition with a trapper, trout fishing and a visit to the First Nations traditional site. For the aquatic and breathtaking fall scenery, Parc De La Rivière Doncaster is only 50 minutes from Montréal. Situated in Sainte-Adèle, the park features the Doncaster River boasting a scenic and peaceful waterfall. All for golf! Opening its outdoor gates to the public in July 2022, Sentier des cimes Laurentides - Treetop Walk allows nature lovers the ultimate experience strolling among the treetops 40m off the ground in Mont-Blanc, just a few minutes’ drive from Mont-Tremblant. This ecotourism destination is nestled in the Laurentian Forest on the heritage site of the old fish farm in Saint-Faustin. The wooden path cloaks itself perfectly with the lush surroundings. Covering more than one kilometer in length, the path ends at the main tower 40m high offering a spectacular bird’s eye view of the forest and mountains.

The Laurentians’ parks and wildlife reserves are unparalleled when it comes to vast natural territory. With several regional parks, two national parks and wildlife reserves, and special sites with focus on the conservation of nature and its wealth, it is no wonder.
Explore the natural habitats of Parc national d'Oka paired with educational and recreational activities. One of the most unique pieces to Oka is its unique path that leads through Oka Calvary Stations of the Cross. Le P’tit Train du Nord Linear Park is a bicyclists’ dream. This 234 km cycle path is built over an old railway line from Bois-des-Filion to Mont-Laurier—the longest park of its kind in Canada. Along the journey—whether by bike, skates, fat bike or cross-country skis—enthusiasts can visit the lively nearby towns and villages, housing heritage railway stations, restaurants, art galleries and boutiques. Domaine Saint-Bernard is a unique natural refuge at the centre of a protected environment. This 1,500-acre eco-tourism center in the heart of Mont-Tremblant offers a range of educational and cultural activities alongside everything from swimming, wildlife observation and nature interpretation to snowshoeing, mountain biking and cycling.
2.5 hours from Montréal and Ottawa-Gatineau Parc régional Montagne du Diable possesses a preserved 80km of hiking trails that lead to the summits with awe-inspiring landscapes, including the Diable summit. At 782m, the Diable is the second highest summit in the Laurentians after Mont-Tremblant, lending its view of the majestic Baskatong reservoir. For a clear mind and leisurely walk in the forest, the 4 km “La Windie” loop goes around Lac de la Montagne. In the Windigo Waterfall and Lake Area, rejuvenate the soul and sleep under the stars in one of the new six tiny houses in the heart of nature. A minimalistic setting features natural materials and a sleek design paired with modern amenities with two houses situated at the edge of Windigo Lake, and the other four nestled within the forest.
