The mission to use a satellite to track harmful methane emissions

Paid and presented by Environmental Defense Fund.

You can’t see it with the naked eye – but methane is a potent and toxic natural gas that can escape to unintended places in our atmosphere. Soon, a satellite dedicated to tracking methane will be orbiting Earth 15 times a day, helping us understand the scale of our methane problem and how to reduce it.

For related work that is part of a longer-standing collaboration on methane and health, the Global Climate and Health Alliance (GCHA) received a grant from the Environmental Defense Fund.
